Reporting an error

If a guide or tool looks wrong, email support@kozailabs.com with the page address, what you think is wrong and, if you have one, a source that says otherwise. The standards we hold content to are on the editorial standards page.

What we do with a report

  • We check the claim against the original source, not against another summary.
  • If it is wrong, we fix the page, update its “Last updated” date, and record the change below.
  • If the source supports the page as written, we leave it and tell you where the wording comes from.

The log below lists corrections, where something was wrong, and editorial changes, where how the site works or is labeled changed. Typos and broken links are fixed without an entry.

  1. · Correction

Our August 25 clean-up of “vet-reviewed” and “vet-informed” wording missed some pages. The pill-giving, heart-failure medication and cat hyperthyroidism guides still described themselves as “vet-backed”, and the Benadryl dosage calculator’s description said “vet-informed”. SteadyTails does not claim veterinary review of its pages, so that wording could mislead. It has been removed from those titles, descriptions and body copy, and the home-page tools section now says the tools are built on published veterinary scales and dosing references. No dose or other medical content changed.

  2. · Correction

Two guides contained statements that the pages they cited did not support. The double-dosing guide said the FDA warns owners against accidentally re-dosing pet pain relievers, which the FDA page does not say; it described the effects of a double dose of heart and anti-seizure drugs in terms the cited pages do not use; and it claimed a “tenth year running” ranking that ASPCA did not state. It now says what the FDA and VCA pages say, and uses ASPCA’s 2025 figures in place of 2024. The Benadryl-for-dogs guide said the drug takes effect in 30 to 60 minutes; VCA gives about one to two hours (Merck’s 30 to 60 minutes is the onset of toxic signs after ingestion). We also added VCA’s missed-dose guidance and its advice against giving diphenhydramine to puppies. No dose in either guide changed.

  3. · Editorial change

Published the About, Editorial standards and Corrections pages. Every guide and tool now shows a “Last updated” date, which changes only when the content changes.

  4. · Correction

Nine guides published between September 21 and 29, 2026 carried a “SteadyTails Veterinary Team” byline, which could be read as veterinary authorship. They now read “SteadyTails Editorial Team”. On the same day, every guide and tool that named an individual reviewer was changed to credit the SteadyTails Editorial Team, and the “medically reviewed” wording was removed: the structured data had described that reviewer as a veterinary reviewer, which overstated the credential. No dosing, threshold or other medical content changed.

  5. · Correction

Removed unsupported “vet-reviewed” and “vet-informed” wording from the titles, descriptions and body copy of the guides, and changed the byline on all 20 guides then published from “SteadyTails Veterinary Team” to “SteadyTails Editorial Team”. Where a real source existed, the page now names it: the Merck Veterinary Manual for the Benadryl dose, and the veterinarian-developed HHHHHMM and JOURNEYS scales for the quality-of-life tools. Sixteen image captions that were internal production notes and had been displayed in error were also removed.
