What SteadyTails is
SteadyTails is a pet medication and care coordination app for households where more than one person looks after a dog or cat. It tracks medication schedules, suppresses duplicate alerts so two caregivers do not both give the same dose, and keeps a history you can hand to your vet.
SteadyTails is now live and available for iPhone on the Apple App Store. An Android version for Google Play is currently in development (you can sign up for notifications).
Who is behind it
SteadyTails is developed and operated by Kozai Development Labs LLC, headquartered in New Mexico, USA. The care guides and free tools on this site are published by the SteadyTails Editorial Team, which is accountable for what they say. How that work is sourced and checked is set out on the editorial standards page, and how we handle mistakes is on the corrections page.
What we publish
Care guides cover the questions caregivers ask about medications, chronic conditions, vet visits and sharing care. Each one ends with the sources behind its claims.
Free tools apply published scales and dosing references to the numbers you enter. No sign-up is needed:
What we are not
SteadyTails is not a veterinary practice, and nothing on this site is veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment. Guides and tools give context for a conversation with your vet; they do not replace it. If you think your pet has taken too much of a medication, or is in distress, call your veterinarian or an emergency clinic straight away.
